NFTs & GameFi | The Mint
As we continue development on the NFTs and GameFi dApps, we are solidifying the mechanism for mint and distribution.
We will be distributing a large number of the NFTs for the initial mint. Distributed mints will likely take the form of an airdropped “mint token” that will ensure one free NFT mint. These mint tokens will be non-transferrable but are not limited to one token per address. There will likely be a time window in which the mint token will need to be redeemed. Distribution is currently as follows:
1. Early BOOFI Token holders and Liquidity Providers
For our Ghosts who have been with us from the beginning, this is known affectionately as “The Halloween Airdrop” and “The Early Believers Airdrop”.
2. Current Boo Finance users
One token will be airdropped to each user who has harvested at least a specified amount in the Well of Souls. The number will be high enough to discourage blatant exploitation, but low enough to not filter out actual unique users with smaller accounts. This amount will be disclosed closer to mint.
3. Active Discord users
We will be airdropping one token for each of the following tags: Golden Ghost, King Boo, and (Poltergeist, Wraith, & Eidolon) for a maximum of 3 tokens.
4. Prizes in our community engagement activities
Mint tokens will be awarded as prizes for events like trivia nights and our first upcoming poker nights (more details coming soon).
5. Our partners
Some mint tokens will be given to our partners to distribute how they see fit as well as some more interesting collaborative integrations…stay tuned for details.
6. Play-to-Earn
The remainder of the NFTs will not be minted in the traditional gas-chugging, chain-bogging, site-crashing mint day bonanza. They will be play-to-earn through our current products. Read more about the distribution of the remainder of the NFTs HERE.
